Steel, wrung from the bones of earth, then purified and shaped in fire. Chiseled, hot from the forge, with runes. Collected in a set: all three aetts (Freya's, Heimdall's, and Tyr's) of the Elder Futhark runes.
I forge each rune from mild steel, measuring 1.25" tall, 1" wide, and 1/4" thick. These are good and weighty: each rune weighs over an ounce and a half (40 grams). All told the runes weigh over two pounds (almost exactly a kilogram) in total.
I coat each rune in wax for rust protection; if you would prefer bare steel for a closer connection (which will rust!), the wax can be melted off in fire or removed with a wire brush.
This rune set comes with a handmade, soft and luxurious deerskin leather pouch. I use two drawstrings to make it easier to open, close and carry.
For Viking enthusiasts: yes, Vikings used runes! But the Elder Futhark rune set is not from the Viking period; it's older. Vikings generally used the Younger Futhark set, and if buyers are interested I will offer Younger Futhark runes as well in a different listing.
Price is for the full set of 24 runes and includes its leather pouch.
